Diploma in Quality Assurance Technology (Metrology) Level 4

The Diploma in Quality Assurance Technology (DQAT) Level 4 Program involves training in the manufacturing, software, and service industries and prepare students for entry-level careers are quality assurance professional or quality assurance technician, or for taking a certification exam. Coursework for undergraduate quality assurance programs can vary based on the program’s focus. For example, some quality assurance programs may address it as a general area of study, while others may focus on a specific field, such as industrial technology. Some common courses at the undergraduate level may include: Statistics, Measurement Science, Auditing, Quality Planning, Engineering Technology and Manufacturing. It also provides workplace exposure and experience to students through On-Job-Training (OJT).

Highlights

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Estimating prioritizing planning and coordinating quality testing activities
  • Responsibilities include designing and implementing test, debugging and defining corrective actions and analysis
  • Acquire the JPK DKM Level 4 (MC-041-4: 2012) Diploma

Learning Methods

30% theory/classroom sessions and 70% extensive hands-on practical sessions

Entry Requirements

  • Must pass Mathematics, Bahasa Melayu, Science, and English in SPM
  • Must have at least JPK SKM Level 3 qualification in Industrial Quality Assurance (Manufacturing)

Careers or Advancements in Quality Assurance Technology

Graduates with JPK DKM Level 4 (MC-041-4: 2012) qualification are eligible to further their studies in the Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) Level 5 program or pursue their first degree at any MTUN universities (with at least 1 credit in any subject in SPM and minimum Band 1 in MUET).
