Highlights

Upon successful completion of this course, student will be able to:

  • Apply skills and knowledge to function in engineering or manufacturing sectors
  • Covers common applied engineering calculations and materials selection in terms of types, common forms of supply, properties and methods of changing their properties
  • Knowledge to plan the manufacturing production of routine engineering components by the most economic manufacturing methods
  • Able to select the appropriate automatic feed and cutters to achieve the desired outcome
  • Covers skills and knowledge needed to produce turned components in different materials, using appropriate tools and equipment, and inspection techniques in turning techniques
  • Covers skills and knowledge needed to produce milling components in different materials, using appropriate tools and equipment, and inspection techniques in milling techniques

Learning Methods

40% theory/classroom sessions and 60% extensive hands-on practical sessions

Entry Requirements

Must pass Mathematics, Bahasa Melayu, Science and English in SPM

Careers or Advancements in C&G Certificate in Engineering

Graduates with Level 2 Certificate in Engineering - Manufacturing Technology qualification are eligible to further their studies in the Level 3 Diploma in Engineering - Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering. Graduates are also able to start their career as a Technician or Machinist.
