This course introduces the fundamentals, concepts, and proven practices in security and loss prevention for security personnel. The key objective of this course is to equip security personnel with the right skills and knowledge to provide a safe working environment for employees and also to protect assets and the intellectual property of the companies. This also a skills enhancement and personal development course for security personnel.
Krishnan Maniam served the Royal Malaysian Navy as a short service commissioned officer and left as Lieutenant Commander in 1987. He first joined National Semiconductor Malacca in 1989 where he started to gain knowledge of industrial security. He joined AMD in 2002 as the Site Security Manager and subsequently took on new role as the Regional Investigations Senior Manager in 2004 till now. He has 30 years of experience in industrial security, covering a wide spectrum of areas, from managing the site security operations and regional investigations to IP and product protection responsibilities covering the APAC region. Krishnan also held various leadership portfolios in external security-related organisations that contribute to the development of the security industry and fraternity. A HRDF-certified trainer, Krishnan has a Diploma in Management from the Malaysia Institute of Management and an intermediate Certificate in Law from the University of London.
