Power BI Desktop is part of the suite of tools from Microsoft that enables data to be analysed and published from a variety of sources. With Power BI Desktop, you get a report authoring tool that enables you to connect to and query data from different sources using the Query Editor. From the datasets you build with Query Editor, you can create reports and visualisations or dashboards within Power BI Desktop and subsequently publish reports.
This program will cover the use of Power BI Desktop to connect to data, create visualisations, query the data, and publish reports. Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to know the basic concepts, import and connect data from various data sources, and explore data visualisations in Power BI Desktop. Participants will also be able to apply common query tasks to shape data and create and publish reports in Power BI Desktop.
This program is intended for users who have to create richer data models to enable deeper insight into their data
