This course will uncover the core processes behind 3D Printing and reveal the impressive capabilities of the 3D printing revolution in enhancing the process of converting idea into reality in different industries. The learners will be developed with a rich knowledge of 3D Printing technologies, devices, capabilities, materials and applications. The learners will learn the trade-offs between various 3D Printing processes and technologies, along with the software tools, and explore the latest trends and opportunities in 3D printing, by referring to a broad range of 3D Printing applications in various industries.
5 modules in the course are designed for beginners to have better learning experience, start from The Overview of Additive Manufacturing (AM) Technology, its Applications, Leverage AM for Part Redesign, FDM 3D Printer anatomy and operation and lastly, Post Process and Quality Improvement.
In overall, this course will demonstrate how 3D printers work, show what people make with them, and examine the 3D printing ecosystem. Learners will also explore the future of 3D printing and discuss how this technology will revolutionize our world. The course will be conducted by using various materials and having activities, include sharing informative slides and videos, software and 3D printing process demonstrations, showing interesting 3D printed parts and group discussion.
This course is designed for technical and non-technical groups with no background in Addictive Manufacturing. Learners will be provided with an overall understanding of Addictive Manufacturing technology, its applications and its implications both now and in the future. The main objective of this course is to help learners to have better understanding on turning innovative ideas into reality effectively and efficiently in various industries.
Hands-on experience and work exposure in product design, CAD tools, and understand conventional parts manufacturing process. Fresh graduates in Science and Technology or Engineering background are also encouraged to attend this course.
