The adoption of Industrial 4.0 is accelerating, and industries are keen to incorporate Industrial 4.0 practices to keep up with the constantly evolving market and customer demands. The key areas of Industrial 4.0 includes Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine vision, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), signal processing and Big Data Analysis (BDA), among others. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is gaining increasing prominence in recent years, not just for its role in Industrial 4.0, but also for its ability to create “smart” devices and make “intelligent” decisions with little or no human intervention.
This course introduces participants to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine vision. Upon completion of this course, the participant will gain a basic understanding of basic terms and definitions of AI, applications of AI and some of the more important AI subfields. Participants will also get a good overview of the various AI algorithms and libraries, and how simple AI programs are developed. Participants will also gain a basic understanding of machine vision and how simple machine vision applications are developed through demo applications.
At the end of the course, participants should be able to understand basic AI terms and definitions, applications of AI, the different types of AI algorithms, available AI libraries and how simple AI applications are developed. Besides AI, participants will also be able to understand basic machine vision terms and definitions, applications of machine vision and basic machine vision application development.
