Introduction

Computer-aided design (CAD) involves creating computer models defined by geometrical parameters. Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) uses geometrical design data to control automated machinery. CAM systems are associated with computer numerical control (CNC) or direct numerical control (DNC) systems. This program provides the knowledge and skill of CAD & CAM integration to identify and solve some of the CAD and CAM solution.

  • Identify the customer requirement
  • Perform CAD design
  • Preparation for transferring CAD data
  • Transfer CAD data to CAM software
  • Fill in the cutting data to parameter
  • Generate program and simulation

This training focuses on the 3-Axis CNC Milling and 4-Axis CNC Milling for manufacturing (FANUC Programming). The software that will be used for this training is CREO Parametric (CAD) and ESPRIT (CAM).

Employees with engineering background.
Duration

10 days on weekdays (Monday until Friday) @ PSDC, Penang.

Program commencement is subject to company’s request (in-house classes/lab) or upon the availability of a sufficient number of participants (public classes).

*Courses can be delivered for a minimum of 8 - 20 participants, for cost effective solution.
