YT Lee, Ph.D., is an internationally recognized expert on a wide range of technologies and products ranging from semiconductors and displays to electronic components with extensive experience in the industry. He has been the president & CEO of SEMCO since 2014, and his primary focus is to build a solid foundation for the growth of the company by creating robust, future-oriented, sustainable competitive advantages in components like camera modules, passive components, and substrates.
Before joining SEMCO, he headed LCD development at Samsung Display Co., Ltd. From 2011 to 2014, where he took the display technology to the next level by dramatically increasing the uniformity of ultra large UHD and curved displays. He also led LSI development team at Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Until 2011, and earned his reputation by successfully developing and engaging with key tier 1 Mobile Customers.
Prior to joining Samsung, YT earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, his Master’s Degree & Doctorate in Electronics from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology). Additionally, he is a regular member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea (NAEK).Register
