  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to product layouts.
  • Fill up any procedure report such traveler report, maintenance check sheet etc.
  • Follow company and customer requirement/procedure.
  • Follow safety regulations and procedure such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, ear plug, safety glass, protective masks, and safety shoes etc.
  • Weld small and large components such as mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
  • Use welding and oversee machines that perform job.
  • Use cutting machine such as plasma cutter, oxyacetylene etc.
  • Use hand tools to perform the job.
  • Use small machinery such as hand drill, tapping machine etc.
  • Repair damage hand tools.
  • Monitor machinery for appropriate usage.
  • Maintain equipment in a good condition that does not compromise safety, report any damage and malfunction on machine.
  • Maintain and repair minor damage on machine.
  • Qualify Welder Qualification Test Record.
  • Follow, setting, check and weld base as per Welding Specification Procedure (WPS).
  • Inspect welding as per product drawing.
  • Inspect welded surfaces and component to discover errors/flaws, repair any flaws such as weld discontinuities, warping etc.
  • Ensure work is done properly and meet requirement.
  • Repair damage/reject component to meet requirement.
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions qualified.
  • Alignment components using clamp, cylinder jack, hammer etc to meet customer spec.
  • Coordinate with staff any position level in production and engineering.
  • Entry level; SKM level 3, Diploma in related field
  • Possess MIG/TIG methods knowledge
  • Experienced in using GTAW/ GMAW machines
