Basic CNC Lathe Operations

This program aims to help participants gain understanding of the first principle employed in CNC turning. It will also enable participants to have a better understanding of the safety aspects of the automated turning processes used in the manufacturing industry. Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the advantages of using CNC Turning machine
  • Conduct daily safety inspection on CNC Turning machine
  • Manually program the machine with Okuma Controller
  • Carry out the machining set up
  • Carry out the necessary procedures before and after the actual cut

Who Should Attend

Conventional Machinists, Mould/Tool and Die Makers, CNC Operators, and those who want to reskill and upskill to CNC

10 weekdays (Monday until Friday) @ PSDC, Penang. Program commencement is subject to company’s request (for in-house classes) or upon the availability of a sufficient number of participants (for public classes).
