Basic CADCAM Software


Computer-aided design (CAD) involves creating computer models defined by geometric parameters. Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) uses geometric design data to control automated machinery. CAM systems are associated with computer numerical control (CNC) or direct numerical control (DNC) systems. This program will provide skills and knowledge of CAD and CAM integration as well as help identify and provide CAD and CAM solutions.

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Identify customer requirements
  • Perform CAD design
  • Prepare for the transferring of CAD data
  • Fill in the cutting data to parameter
  • Generate program and simulation

This program will focus on 3 Axis CNC Milling and 4 Axis CNC Milling for manufacturing (FANUC Programming) and will utilise CREO Parametric (CAD) and ESPRIT (CAM) software.

10 weekdays (Monday until Friday) @ PSDC, Penang. Program commencement is subject to company’s request (for in-house classes) or upon the availability of a sufficient number of participants (for public classes).
