268 graduate from skills development centre

GEORGE TOWN: Diploma and certificate graduates from the Penang Skill Development Centre (PSDC) had their graduation ceremony at the PSDC campus in Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone, recently.

Jubilant grads tossing their scrolls into the air after completing their diploma and certificate programmes.
They were overjoyed to receive their scrolls after putting their hearts and souls into completing their engineering and machinery courses.
The graduates' family members turned up in full force to support the 268 students.
Many graduates were presented with bouquets from their loved ones after stepping out from the PSDC building.
PSDC marketing and communications assistant manager Jocelyn Ng said 124 students completed their diplomas in engineering, while 65 of them obtained their certificates in precision machining technology.
Ng added another 79 students were awarded their certificates in competency development programmes in medical technology.
Goh Wei Pin emerged as the top diploma student in mechatronic engineering, while Cheah Thian Hoe was the top certificate student in precision machining technology.
Y. Suntheren, meanwhile, was the best student in the competency development programme in medical technology.
Also present were PSDC vice-chairman Datuk Teh Yong Khoon, and PSDC secretary, Datuk Boonler Somchit.
